All master data, data of transaction or logistic are managed on a database of the server in the head office. The master data is attended or evaluations and statistics are retrieved by a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator). As soon as an alteration of master data (e.g. new articles or a price change) is carried out it is transferred automatically to all relevant points of sale in the branches by an intelligent mechanism.

The connection between the POS and the server can be effected via LAN, WAN or e.g. the Internet.
